My Story

I was born in western Massachusetts to a faith-based family. Though we had a lot of solid provisions & love, we also had our distinct issues and struggles too.

I developed songwriting in my early adolescence when coping with a lot of unbalanced dynamics within my family, social circles, and identity. Music was the way I grew to cope with the chaos of life. When times would get overwhelming, I would sit in my bedroom crying, writing various lyrics, and praying that God would change & heal certain members of my family. I found myself in the divine duality of life’s greatest blessings and most painful heartache.

I struggled with friendships, rejection, accountability, and social dynamics as a teen. I was able to come off as very extroverted at times. But I also had a lot to deal with behind closed doors. There were subtle intricacies of abuse, judgment, both interior & exterior criticism, and very unmet emotional needs.

From a young age, I knew I desired my music to reach people in their darkest moments and rock-bottom situations. I knew my words & music could change lives and bring people to choices of faith & hope over fear & failure.

So here we are, starting the process of building a solid platform to reach all eyes, ears, & walks of life. I hope that throughout the pursuit of these desires that you can be touched by my story and may find inspiration to come to terms with yours. I’m ready to find healing in this process and believe that you can too one lyric, one breathe, and one moment at a time.

Here is to Doin’ the Damn thing and making things happen. I love you. Whoever you are reading this. Be blessed and inspired to do that thing in your life, too. Thanks for taking the few moments to read and comprehend my story and finding yours.

Take care,

Taryn <3
